Bulldogs Bite Miners 48, 14

STAUNTON - The Bulldogs made their fans proud Friday night when they took on the Gillespie Miners.
The Bulldogs had an outstanding rushing game with 350 yards on 44 carries. Yet no one broke the 100-yard mark.
The Bulldogs (2-0) were lead by Blake Steele with 83-yards on nine carries with a touchdown. Kevin Billings also contributed to the rushing game with two 1-yard scores -

Staunton Lady Bulldogs Defeat Mt. Olive Wildcats 25-7, 25-21
The SHS Lady Bulldogs played the Mt. Olive Wildcats in volleyball during Thursday night’s game and defeated them with scores of 25-7 and 25-21.
Kristen McDowell made six kills, Briana Rae made three kills, and Yana Fairman made four kills during the game.
Visitors Allison Bruss made two kills and Kynli Smith and Jordan Martin each made one kill during the game.

Napa Auto Parts to Present Sale-A-Bration Oct. 8
Staunton- Napa Auto Parts will be presenting a sale-a-bration on October 8 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Crystal Ballroom here.
The show will be held from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Food will be served from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
At the sale-a-bration, tools and equipment will be sold at factory direct promotional prices.

Volley for the Cure
TAUNTON - The Staunton Lady Bulldog Volleyball team would like to invite you to meet “Louie” the mascot for the St. Louis Blues who will be their guest at the 2nd Annual “Volley for the Cure” which will be held, Sept. 28 at the Staunton High School Gymnasium.
The team takes on the Hillsboro Hilltoppers; the JV game begins at 6 p.m.and the recognition of the survivors will be held between games at approximately 7 p.m.

The Staunton Elementary and Jr. High students gathered outside of the school Thursday morning to sing happy birthday to Principal Mark Skertich for his 60th Birthday.
