Staunton Students participate in Illinois Music Educators Association Music Festival
On Saturday, Nov. 7, students from Staunton schools participated in the Illinois Music Educators Association District 4 music festival held on the Western Illinois University campus in Macomb.
Students must first audition for different judges in October to even be considered for the festival. If their scores are high enough, they are then accepted to the festival.

Heritage Manor Holding Mitten/Glove Drive
Heritage Manor , here will be having a mitten/glove drive that will benefit all area Staunton grade schools.
The mittens and gloves that are collected will be donated to the three schools for children in need of something to keep their hands warm or for those who just forgot their gloves on a cold day.

Food Drive
 

Local Boys scouts, Staunton and Livingston, collected approximately 4,000 food items which were donated by local residents. The Food Pantry is always in need of food, especially this time of year.

Alderman Jeff Booth Resigns;City Votes To Allow Video Gaming
The City of Staunton held their bi-monthly meeting on Monday night, November 23 at 7 p.m.
The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. and was followed with the members of the city council reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll call was called followed with the beginning discussion of the consent agenda.
The consent agenda consisted of the reading of the minutes of both the regular meeting of November 9 and the minutes of the executive session of November 9.
