News Stories for November 21, 2007 Security System Installed at St. Michael's School STAUNTON - St. Michael's School recently installed a security in the school. Visitors will need to enter through the basement doors by pressing the intercom button. Eighth Grade Terriers Start Season 3-0 MT. OLIVE - Staunton opened up the season against the Bombers from Mt. Olive. This one was lopsided from the beginning. Jumping out to a 15-2 first quarter lead. The terriers cruised to a 45-19 victory. Devin Gerdes led the team will 11 points followed by Brad Seketa with eight. Zack Ward with seven and Tyler Boston 6. Kole Billings led the defensive effort with four steals. Ward handed out four assist and Jake Mahin grabbed a team high six rebounds. Property Bought For Hiking Trail STAUNTON - An old abandoned rail line owned by Conrad Kee of Staunton will be bought for the Montgomery County Board for $75,000. Food Items Collected by Scouts up From Previous Year STAUNTON - Thanks to the generosity of Staunton residents, the Scouts collected 5800 items for the food pantry, Saturday. Organizers thank all cub scouts, parents, friends, and Bills IGA who helped with the food drive. This is an improvement over last year when 5680 items were collected. Staunton Municipal Band to Hold Christmas Concert Dec. 2 STAUNTON - The Staunton Municipal Band along with the Zion Choir will present an open to the public, free Christmas concert.
