Susie Campbell Named CEO of CMH
STAUNTON- Community Memorial Hospital here has a new leader. The position opened after the untimely death of longtime CEO Patrick Heise, who suddenly died Feb. 2 at his home. The hospital has been interviewing candidates for sometime and when they looked around, they found that the best candidate already worked there. The board of directors named Susie Campbell as the new CEO at a meeting last week. Campbell currently serves as the Human Resources Coordinator and admitting coordinator. "I am humbled and honored," says Campbell. "Patrick set a wonderful example to follow." Campbell lives in Dorchester, with her husband Wes and is very active in the community. Last weekend she worked at the homecoming as a volunteer. "I think you have to volunteer and give back to your community," she says. The position becomes official August 15. She said she is "tickled to be selected" and will work hard to continue the wonderful example that has been set for her.
