Team Pretty n’ Pink is forming a team for the Susan G. Komen St. Louis Race for the Cure®!

More than 60,000 people of the St. Louis metro area are expected to join in this exciting event to raise money for the fight against breast cancer on June 16.

Because one woman is diagnosed every 2.6 minutes, each of us is sure to be affected by this horrible disease.

Seventy-five percent of net proceeds will stay in the St. Louis metro area to fund breast cancer-specific public awareness, education, screening, treatment and support programs.

The remaining 25 percent goes directly to the Komen Foundation’s Award and Research Grant Program.

Tuesday, May 29, 2007 is the deadline for entering as part of Team Pretty ‘n Pink (#3552). Please note that you can join the team, even if you’re not available to participate in the Race, as a Sleep In For The Cure® member.

Registration is easy. Team members are encouraged to register online at www.komenstlouis.org.

When registering online, be sure to register as a member of "Team Pretty ‘n Pink" in the drop down box. You can also register for this year’s race by contacting the team captains with your registration fees.

Either way you register, you will receive your Race T-shirt, bib number, and back signs on Sunday, June 10. You will not have to make any extra trips to pick up your Race items, since they will be conveniently available with your team captain, Toni Janus!

The team will be competing in the Team Competition to bring in the most money through registration fees and donations. In addition to the Race T-shirt, all members of Team Pretty ‘n Pink will receive a Team Pretty ‘n Pink T-shirt to wear on Race day to show our spirit and unity.
